To officially renew the resource “Ruslan” should the Ukrainian side with the participation of the Ulyanovsk enterprise “Aviastar-SP”. But there are problems with getting technical support from the Ukraine was forced to look for alternatives.

In particular, deal with the extension of the resource of the world’s largest civil cargo aircraft “Aviation complex named Ilyushin”, part of United aircraft Corporation.

According to “Kommersant”, the corresponding topic has been raised in the negotiations with GK “Volga-Dnepr” and the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation (the largest operators of “Ruslan”).

The decision to transfer the An-124 “Ilyushin” can cause a sharp protest from the Ukrainian “Antonov”. And in the case of any change Kiev will have the opportunity to introduce a ban on the use of “Ruslan” outside of Russia, which is where they often are exploited).

However, the publication notes that Moscow has its own levers of pressure, as the Ukrainian company “Motor Sich” performs amortizatio helicopters Mi-2 and Mi-8 without the participation of Russian developers.
