- Turkish authorities no longer see the threat of a coup
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said on Sunday that the country is no longer threatened by a coup attempt. He called this statement is unambiguous and urged the people to remain calm.
He also said that soon Turkey will not be an atmosphere of distrust which now prevails in the army after a coup attempt.
“The credibility of all state institutions will be protected, and persons associated with participants of the attempted coup will be revealed and punished,” added Kurtulmus.
