The head of the IMF was summoned to the court of France in the case of the sale of Adidas

The French court of cassation called the head of the International monetary Fund Christine Lagarde in connection with litigation on the sale of shares of businessman Bernard Tapie in the company Adidas.

It started in 1993. Then Tuppy has decided to get rid of assets in order to hold a Ministerial post. He sold the shares with the state Bank Credit Lyonnais, and then accused the government of fraud. In the end, held the post of Finance Minister Lagarde signed the documents on the payment Tapie compensation for disputes in the amount of 403 million dollars.

Subsequently, the court of Paris challenged this decision and demanded to return the paid amount. Lagarde is accused of negligence. According to investigators, the matter of compensation was decided in favor of the TAPI in exchange for the support of businessman politician Nicolas Sarkozy.

The lawyer, Lagarde is confident that the court will prove the innocence of his client.
