Due to the coup attempts in Turkey revoked the passports of 10.8 thousand people


Turkish authorities canceled the passport 10865 people because of the coup attempt. This information was spread by the Turkish media, citing the interior Minister of Turkey.

After a failed rebellion, the Turkish authorities have dismissed thousands of police and military personnel, military judges and prosecutors, governors of 30 provinces, about 20 thousand teachers. The country introduced a state of emergency, suspended the European Convention on human rights. There has been talk about the introduction of the death penalty.
