In the state Duma the law on prison terms for desecration of the national anthem

In Gouda introduced a bill worked out by the deputies and senators, which involves a criminal liability up to real life for insulting the Russian national anthem.

Thus, for the distortion of the words or music of a hymn can be put behind bars for up to one year, or go to forced labor for the same period, reports “Interfax”.

Previously, criminal penalties of up to one year of deprivation of liberty applied only to insult the coat of arms and flag.
