European Commission: Ukraine could remain without gas in winter


The relevant concerns were expressed by the Vice-President of the European Commission on energosoiuz maroš Šefčovič.

“The European Union understands the importance of filling Ukrainian gas storages for the winter. In this regard, we call the company “Naftogaz” to negotiate with Russia’s Gazprom to agree terms on gas supplies. The Commission is ready to contribute to the negotiations, if need be – in a trilateral format,” he said.
