The Cabinet of the Russian Federation established requirements to homes for the disabled


The Cabinet of the Russian Federation published the requirements for the adaptation of premises for disabled people. The document was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The resolution sets the change and alteration of housing for disabled depending on the characteristics of its limitations. For example, the area around the house, in which lives the disabled should be slip-resistant coverage with gaps no wider than 1.5 centimeters, everywhere must be installed on ramps, the front door of the house should be outlined with a contrasting color, and the threshold may not be higher than 1.4 inches.
