Kerry has threatened Turkey with expulsion from NATO


U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry said that he sees the probability of exclusion of Turkey from NATO, if the authorities fail to abide by democratic norms and rule of law, writes the Washington Post. With such a promise he made after talks with the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini.

Kerry stressed that the military Alliance will keep track of the actions of the Turkish authorities in relation to the detained participants of the rebellion.

On the background of the failed coup in Turkey talking about the return of the death penalty. The country arrested dozens of senior military officials, including generals and governors. Arrested a total of more than six thousand people.
