Gas imports to Ukraine from Europe increased three times

Kiev last Saturday has increased gas imports from Europe almost tripled — from 3.5 to 10.4 million cubic meters, follows from the data of PJSC “Ukrtransgaz”. The main increase was observed from Slovakia, from Hungary volume of imports remained at the same level.

Earlier, the head of “Naftogaz” Andrey Kobelev noted that the import of gas for injection into underground storage Ukraine will start on their own funds, and subsequently will rely on loans from the European Bank for reconstruction and development.

Kiev is also discussing with foreign creditors the opportunity to use part of the funds for the purchase of Russian gas.
