Advisor Avakov saw provocation in Peter the great, trampling the blue-yellow flag

The adviser to the interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov Mikhail Apostol during a business trip to Poltava region drew attention to a picture in one of the local churches, where the horse of Peter I treads blue and yellow flag. According to the Apostle, the image of the flag is “signs of provocation”, as he wrote in the social network Facebook. Apparently the official saw it as similar to Ukrainian.

Users of social networks reminded the apostles that the temple is a memorial of the battle of Poltava, and under the hooves of the horse — the flag of the defeated Swedes. However, the Apostle did not give up and on his page on Facebook posted a link to an article in the Ukrainian newspaper quoting him. The Apostle argues that the artist has agreed to correct this “technical error” and has already bought paint.
