U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry on Thursday evening met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader at the beginning of the meeting appreciated the last conversation with his us counterpart Barack Obama, noting his willingness to cooperate with Russia.
In turn, Kerry gave Putin best wishes from Obama, stressing that the American President also believes the talks as constructive.
“I want to say again that President Obama and I, we believe that the US and Russia are in a phase that we can really do very much that will benefit the world,” said Kerry.
U.S. Secretary of state arrived in Moscow on a two-day visit. On Friday he plans to meet with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
