Peskov told about the results of Putin’s meeting with Kerry


Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov commented on the results of the meeting U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and Vladimir Putin.

According to Peskov, quoted by TASS, the meeting, which began on Thursday at about 22.00, ended well after midnight.

Judging by his words, to make progress on key issues has failed as it is predicted by sources of the American media in the White house. Recall that they believed the fundamental point departure from power in Syria, President Bashar al-Assad, in which Syria can not be peace.

Peskov said that “well-known” Russia’s position on the fate of Assad “has not undergone any changes.”

Also, according to a spokesperson, failed to come close and substantial collaboration to increase the effectiveness of efforts to combat terrorism in Syria.

In the end, the only content of the meeting, as it turned out, was a continuation of the “constructive, detailed and Frank” communication between representatives of the Russian Federation and the United States.

Recall that today, Kerry is due to hold talks with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The American diplomat also refrained from specifics, saying only that talks with Putin have been “open and serious”.
