“The Minister of defence of Poland Anthony Macierewicz believes that Russia gave impetus to the events of the Volyn tragedy. Macierewicz, said that Russia has used the Ukrainian nationalists in the events of 1939-1945. I would like to clarify in Warsaw a couple of points: 1. Voiced whether the Minister of defence of the official position of Poland or his personal? 2. Are there historical events or natural phenomena, in which Russia is not to blame? 3. Is there any apprehension that, tacitly encouraging such chauvinistic statements, the Polish leadership from the household of Russophobia quietly slipping into the incitement of national hatred?” – Zakharov wrote on his page in Facebook.
Earlier Anton Makarevich said that Russia “gave rise to” genocide in Poland and the Volyn tragedy, using the Ukrainian radicals. This is not the first anti-Russian statements of the Polish Minister, said RIA Novosti.
The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev answered that the Polish Minister had betrayed the memory of their ancestors and made this statement for the sake of political expediency.
