Russia’s foreign debt exceeded $ 521 billion U.S. dollars


CBR reports that in the second quarter of 2016, Russia’s foreign debt increased to $521,462 billion Previously, the amount of debt was $520,219 billion.

With the beginning of the year Russia’s foreign debt grew by us $2,954 billion, or 0.6%.

External debt increased due to the purchase by foreign investors of sovereign debt instruments in rubles on the secondary market. And also due to the fact that the Russian company has accrued dividends to shareholders.

One-third of the liabilities in the external debt accounts for banks and two thirds in other sectors of the economy.
