Obama offered Russia to extend the agreement on nuclear arms control

Barack Obama in the last months of his tenure as President of the United States plans to put forward several initiatives on nuclear arms control. These include the extension of the Treaty on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms, signed with Russia in 2010 for another 5 years, writes The Washington Post.

According to the publication, in recent weeks, the subject of the contract was discussed at the meetings held under the auspices of the Council of national security of the United States twice.
