Mead saw in the legislative initiatives of Moldova offensive in Russian language


The Russian foreign Ministry reacted to the initiative of the deputies of the ruling coalition in the Moldovan Parliament to tighten the law on broadcasting., evaluating it as unfriendly.

“It is clear that the proposed amendments to the Code of television and radio are intended seriously to oust the Russian-language broadcasting in Moldova”, – said in a statement released by the foreign Ministry on this issue.

The Agency has linked the initiative with the elections of the President of Moldova and promised that Moscow will take into account “the evolution of the question” in relations with Chisinau.
