After opening flights to Turkey tours to other countries fell sharply


The lifting of restrictions on the sale of tours to Turkey and is expected to resume Charter flights to this country has led to lower prices for other destinations of the Russians.

According to “Kommersant”, citing data from the Association of tour operators of Russia, the average price drop for all popular resorts made up 10-11 percent. However, there are more significant numbers: the average cost of travel to Tunisia for the week decreased by 40 percent. Prices plummeted and package deals to Russia.

Experts explain reduction of prices reaction to the drop in popularity of the resort destinations. This is now reduced shopping tours stopped, but soon the sales will return to a high level, said the representative of the Russian Union of travel industry Irina Tyurina.

Recovery of Charter flights to Turkey is delayed. Because of this, prices for tours in this country remain at a high level. The government still has not adopted a resolution on lifting the ban on Charter flights.

The hype around the sale of Turkish tours lasted a week, but then went into decline because of a price issue.

“The average price of 50 thousand rubles under the condition of accommodation in three-star hotel is still quite expensive. The market expects that after the opening of Charter flights prices will drop at least 30 percent”, — quotes “Kommersant” the words of the Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia of Maya Lomidze.
