There was a video of the death of a Russian Mi-25 to Syria


In the Internet appeared the video of the crash of the Russian Mi-25 shot down banned in Russia IG group. In the short clip, filmed, probably by the terrorists themselves, shows the moment the rocket hit the tail of the helicopter.

The record shows that the pilots were trying to save the car. The helicopter stayed in the air for a few seconds, maneuvering and trying to maintain altitude. However, control was lost, and Mi-25 fell to the ground.

As previously reported by the press service of the defense Ministry, the crew of the Mi-25 pilots-instructors Rafagat Khabibulin and Evgeny Dolgin received a request for assistance from the Syrian military command. They reported that the required air support in the defense of Palmyra — some time ago, the terrorists began again to besiege the liberated areas. According to the Syrian command needed help in the destruction of a large detachment of fighters.

At the time of receipt of the request of the Russian pilots overflew and receives a message and decided to respond. As emphasized in the defense Ministry, the helicopter had expended all ammunition, the actions of the crew allowed to disrupt a terrorist attack. However, when the crew had decided to turn around and return to base, the helicopter was shot down by a missile from the ground.

Mi-25 fell on the territory under the control of Syrian government troops. The Russian pilots did not survive. It is reported that the bodies were evacuated from the scene of a helicopter crash. Pilots honoured with high military decorations.
