Moscow and Washington exchanged mutual expulsion of diplomats confirmed on Saturday, Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov. The reason for the diplomatic scandal was the June incident near the American Embassy in Moscow when working undercover for the U.S. secret service, Embassy employee got into a fight with guarding the building of the Russian police.

Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov confirmed that in June from the United States without claim, were expelled two Russian diplomats in response to the incident near the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Ryabkov’s statement published on the official website of the foreign Ministry.

“Law enforcement officer of Russia has acted just perfectly. Because the CIA disguised and masked, as we understand it, could be anybody”

“And in the state Department at a high level, we were asked not to make this fact public. As you can see, to keep the word not in the traditions of American diplomats,” stated Ryabkov.

In response, Russia expelled two US officials. “They were declared persona non grata for activities incompatible with diplomatic status. This is the same night bully and another operative of the CIA,” he said.

Ryabkov spoke about the details of the incident near the American Embassy in Moscow. “Then the American diplomat – and, more precisely, a CIA officer working under Embassy umbrella and returning in disguise after conducting reconnaissance operations, attacked police, was carrying out the duty to protect diplomatic missions,” he said.

According to the diplomat, the video of the incident was shown on 7 July, the TV channel “NTV” “and speaks for itself.” “But, no matter how hard it was to deny the obvious, in the state Department continue to do, trying in vain to keep a good mine at bad game,” stated Ryabkov.

On the eve of the state Department announced that after a fight of an American diplomat with a Russian police officer guarding the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Washington, 17 June, was expelled from the United States of two Russian diplomats.

We will remind, the incident occurred on the night of 6 June. Then to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, arrived a cab, which jumped by an unknown man in the jacket and pulled low over the face of the cap. He rushed to the entrance. On duty at the entrance of the Russian police tried to check the documents of a suspicious person and to ensure no threats to diplomatic missions.

But the stranger struck the guard with an elbow in the face. Both men fell to the floor. In the ensuing brawl the stranger is still able to crawl to the front door to escape on the Embassy grounds, where the entrance to the Russian police have already been banned.

It later emerged that go unnoticed in the Embassy tried third Secretary of the political Department Daniel van Dyken, part – time career officer of the CIA, who in that day were returning from a reconnaissance operation. That’s why he was in the hat and coat so neither the taxi driver nor the policeman from the protection of the Embassy did not remember what he looks like.

After the incident, the security officer of the Embassy stated that van Taken at the entrance to the Embassy showed the pass and introduced myself. And in this form the report went to the state Department. But the video shows what actually was different. However, the reaction of the state Department not long to wait, the foreign Ministry said the United States is almost unprecedented pressure on its diplomats.

About the incident, wrote to The Washington Post, accusing Russian police of using violence against an American diplomat, which, according to the American media, received in this encounter, a fracture of the shoulder.

The official representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called the article fiction. According to her, the diplomat attacked a guard of the Embassy, as evidenced by the video, noting that the Embassy employee was a CIA officer.

“Everyone who has ever worked in the embassies in other countries know full well that there is a single rule, Zakharova said NTV. – The entrance to the Embassy is exclusively a pass, which you present at the checkpoint. Law enforcement officer of Russia has acted just perfectly. Because the CIA disguised and masked, as we understand it, could be anyone – it could be a terrorist, extremist, suicide bomber”.

We will add that The Washington Post also wrote that members of Russian security services allegedly trying to intimidate American diplomats, “sometimes even break into the houses”. Zakharova this information was also denied

VZGLYAD out in detail these accusations, noting that they have a lot of suspicious details.
