Media: the Governor of Sevastopol was suspected of extremism because of the words on the referendum


Against the Governor of Sevastopol Sergey Menyailo being tested in connection with his statements about holding a referendum in Crimea, said the Agency FlashCrimea citing a source in the local Department of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

According to the publication, the issues caused his words about the possibility of a new referendum on the Peninsula, said in dealing with foreign journalists.

“Can it (the referendum) to do if everyone recognizes (the Russian Crimea). But there is no guarantee that and then don’t begin to tell you that everything we have is wrong”, – quotes Agency the words of Menyailo.

In saying Menyailo employees SK and FSB has seen extremism (article 280 of the criminal code) and now are checking.

Official confirmation of the information about the alleged ongoing verification yet.
