The NATO summit took the decision to continue the mission in Afghanistan

NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said on the sidelines of the summit in Warsaw that the decision to continue the Alliance’s mission in Afghanistan “Resolute support for the period after 2016.

In particular, the member countries of NATO will continue funding the Afghan security forces for the period up to 2020.

With regard to NATO’s presence in Afghanistan in 2017, to determine the appropriate level of forces to be held for more planning in the coming months.
