About blocking sites for “propaganda materials” aimed “to promote among the Russian population the idea of boycotting elections to the State Duma” wrote the press service of Roskomnadzor. According to authorities, the calls to boycott the elections “undermine the foundations of the constitutional system of the Russian Federation, according to which the expression of the power of the multinational people of the Russian Federation shall be referenda and free elections.”

As told in an interview with TJournal Ampelonskiy, three sites out of four was obscure resources, and one of them has already removed the content.

The fourth portal was “Open Russia”.

As explained to our edition head of the project “Open elections” Timur Valeev, blocking the portal to be a subject for a post in one of the blogs on the website to which the organization had no relationship. The post however was quickly deleted after receiving a letter from the Department. Valeev said that the position of the “Open Russia” consists in the maximum attraction of voters on elections as the only way to bring about change in the country.

We will add that today against the “Open Russia”, according to its press service, there was an attempt of provocation: a man tried to smuggle into her office in the gift of his book, which, as found by the guards, were devoted to Adolf Hitler. The book was not adopted, however, immediately following this, the office tried to get one with a video camera.

At the same time today in the morning in Novosibirsk, the police arrested the participant of the project “Open elections” Yegor Savina, who is running for the Duma from party PARNAS, and tried to find it extremist literature, but in the end he let go with nothing.
