US media: the Diplomat who started a fight at the Embassy in Moscow, worked for the CIA

The American diplomat, who was allegedly attacked in Moscow, was a CIA agent working under cover.

Edition of the Washington Post, citing information obtained from the two American officials confirmed the words of the representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova: the man worked for the CIA under diplomatic cover, and the incident with the fight on June 29 was an attempt to escape persecution by the Russian intelligence services.

“The American diplomat is really working undercover for the U.S. intelligence community. He tried to take refuge in the Embassy from the pursuing representatives of the Russian special services who planned his arrest,” The Washington Post quoted the words of one of the sources.

Informed that the employee of the diplomatic mission working undercover, voiced by Maria Zakharova, RIA Novosti reported.

“This diplomat is actually a CIA officer. That night he disguised, returned after a surveillance operation. And whether strongly was nervous because of this, or just wanted to slip in unrecognized, and therefore did not show his diplomatic card, and when it stopped — grabby,” she said, noting that the information about the attack on one of the employees of the American Embassy in Moscow does not correspond to reality. The American himself was the initiator of the fight, as evidenced by the record of surveillance cameras.

In turn, the representative of the state Department of the USA John Kirby confirmed that the incident is an accredited diplomat, noting that the surveillance of them by law enforcement as “totally unacceptable”.
