And Soldatenkova agreed and the President of MTS Andrey Dubrovsky, writes “Kommersant”. As noted Soldatenkov, the additional one percent tax does not affect industry, however, will allow the state to establish centres for processing and storing data.
The head of the company stressed that the creation of such facilities is not included in functions of operators. According to Soldatenkov, the authorities of other countries do not impose such requirements on companies, with some States partially themselves store data.
“Now in the form in which this bill exists, we will not be able to implement it,” – said Soldatenkov.
Recall that the so-called anti-terrorist package of Spring has obliged mobile operators from 1 July 2018 to keep the contents of letters and calls of users for at least six months. Mobile operators have repeatedly criticized the bill, pointing out that it is impossible both from a technical and from an economic point of view.
The company has estimated the cost of 2.2 trillion rubles and warned that in this case, the cost will be borne by the customer, and the cost of services can jump several times.
