Tkachev has promised that the Russians still long to see Turkish vegetables


The Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev said that the question of removing food embargo with the Turkish agricultural production is not now on the agenda of the government of the Russian Federation, reports “Interfax”.

According to the Minister, this is a cause for concern that in this case Turkish vegetables will be able to oust Russian from the shelves. Thus, the government by prohibiting attempts to support domestic agricultural producers.

Tkachev said that a similar opinion was expressed yesterday and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev for whom the issue of opening the market to Turkey, is “not worth it at all.”

Recall that after the attack by Turkish jets on the Russian bomber, Vladimir Putin, in his speech said that Turkey “will not get tomatoes”, announcing thereby a wide range of hostile measures.

Also note that the family Tkachev, former Governor of the Krasnodar region belongs to the “agricultural complex named after N. And. Tkachev” (father of the Minister), who in 2016 has entered the top 10 largest landowners in Russia. The company, according to the consulting firm BEFL that the Director of “Agro” called “close to truth”, controls 456000 hectares of land.
