The President of Abkhazia: the Bilateral negotiations with Georgia are underway

Abkhaz leader Raul Khajimba said that at present the Republic does not conduct any bilateral negotiations with Georgia.

– Currently, there are no bilateral negotiations with Georgia are not conducted”, — he told in interview to the newspaper “Izvestia”.

Also, the President of Abkhazia said that contacts are continuing only on the Geneva discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia.

Russia recognized the sovereignty of South Ossetia and Abkhazia on 26 August 2008 after the armed aggression of Georgia against Tskhinval in early August.
