The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law under which servicemen with shoulder straps removes the Soviet star. To replace them, the insignia of the Ukrainian insurgent army (the UPA, the organization banned in Russia).

The official presentation of the new insignia APU to be held during the parade on the independence day of Ukraine on August 24.
The country has a ban on the display of Soviet symbols and public performance of anthems to the USSR, the Ukrainian SSR and other Soviet republics.Related posts:
