In the day in the main building of the Russian Museum work at all – in a hall №14 took work of Ivan Aivazovsky, to send the exhibition to Moscow – the capital of a Grand exhibition on the 200th anniversary of the artist will open on July 29 at the Tretyakov gallery on the Crimean shaft. It is prophesied no less successful than the exhibition Serov. We watched the preparation of the canvases by Aivazovsky to travel.
Started with the large-scale masterpieces: the first on the floor was “the Ninth wave” in a massive carved frame, then another larger “Wave”. Each picture weighs about 100 pounds, before sending you take off the frame and placed in special boxes with the right climatic conditions.
On the reel shafts of the picture will not be promised the staff of the Museum, it is also possible they will be exhibited in “native” frames. For the duration of transportation and exhibiting in Moscow, the paintings are insured, and vans will be accompanied by a police motorcade.
Each work hung on the special cables, then removed from the “home” mount, and gently transferred to the floor. After the removal of “the Ninth shaft” the workers asked the Museum staff to lead journalists, but there it was. Look at the process of removing the paintings came not only reporters, but many of the employees of the Museum.
“We still hanging today!” – was indignant the Museum, referring to the fact that one day off to have time not only to send to Moscow 33 works by Aivazovsky, but also to hang on the vacant seats of paintings by Karl Briullov.
Only in the Russian Museum – 54 the artist’s work. “You hard?” – journalists were interested in at the crucial moment, when the painting had to carefully put on the floor. “No, all nonsense, the hardest thing here – the sea,” he joked to photographers.
In addition, at the exhibition in Moscow leaving four paintings from the collection of Tsarskoye Selo, 15 works from Peterhof and 12 from the Naval Museum. The exhibition in Moscow will last till November 20.
In December, work will return to St. Petersburg for the local exhibition of Aivazovsky (2017 – the year of the bicentenary of the birth of the artist). In the Russian Museum, noted that the St. Petersburg collection of works much broader Moscow, and that a local exhibition will be at least no worse than the capital. The Tretyakov gallery, according to acting Deputy Director on scientific work of the Russian Museum, Grigory Goldovsky, held talks about providing for the exhibition of works of Feodosia artist gallery. Ambiguous and uncertain terms the project of reconstruction of the Russian Museum with the relocation of the paintings does not match – Aivazovsky in any case will return to Petersburg before the start of any work.Related posts:
