Turkey has declared its readiness to allow Russia to use the NATO air base Incirlik

Turkish foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara could provide Russian military aircraft able to use the airbase at Incirlik for operations against the banned in Russia and some other countries, the terrorist group ISIS. According to him, the base is open to everyone who wants to actively fight terrorists.

“Why shouldn’t we just cooperate with Russia?” – Cavusoglu said after talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

The Incirlik base is located EN the South of Turkey. It is used by NATO and is the largest repository of nuclear weapons in Europe.
