Putin banned foreigners to explore the audience of Russian TV channels


The President of Russia Vladimir Putin approved a law banning foreigners to measure the volume of the audience of Russian television channels. To carry out such studies, only those organizations that receive gosakkreditatsii of Roskomnadzor (the Agency for this will create a special Commission). It will be provided for one year with possibility of annual renewal.

According to the law, the participation of other States and foreign organizations in companies engaged in specified studies in Russia should not exceed 20%. In addition, prohibited all forms of control and influence on accredited researchers of the Russian TV audience.
