Kirby called incorrect words Zakharova about the incident with the spy

The official U.S. state Department spokesman John Kirby said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova incorrectly presented the events of the incident with a American citizen outside the Russian Embassy. According to Kirby, Moscow is well aware that the facts were distorted.

We are talking about publishing in the Washington Post, which said that the Russian police beat up an American diplomat and broke his shoulder. In response Zakharov said that in fact the officer was a CIA agent and tried to look suspicious to infiltrate the U.S. Embassy and hit the Russian police when he tried to check his documents.

This Kirby declined to say how things were for him and reiterated that the U.S. is concerned about the Russian authorities ‘ actions against American diplomats. He also proposed to discuss such matters privately at the government level.
