British intelligence accused of killing the Prime Minister of Serbia

In Serbia, a book-investigation “the Third bullet. The political circumstances of the assassination of Zoran Djindjic”, which the authors directly accused the elimination of the policy of British intelligence. Given that Djindjic was Pro-European leader and it sounds weird. However, the described technology crimes leads to Parallels with another high-profile case – the murder of Boris Nemtsov.

As reported by “Russian Express”, a former Djindjic’s bodyguard Milan Veruovic and journalist Nicola Vrsic claim that the murder of the Prime Minister may be involved with British intelligence officer Anthony Morton who were in touch with the main accused in this crime – the so-called zemunski clan. According to Wikileaks, the British secret service were “working” with gangs of Serbia using their abilities to achieve specific political results. The use of criminal or near-criminal structures as the ultimate performers linking the events in Belgrade 12 years ago and the murder of Boris Nemtsov. The ultimate perpetrators could not understand what they are doing, therefore, could be subject to manipulation on the part of British intelligence. It has played its role and the purely political motives that also makes the situation with the murder of Nemtsov, where the hurt feelings of the Muslims was used as an additional “argument” in the hiring of performers.

“This phenomenon, where we lived for ten years: a former Legionnaire with no education, family and tribe he was promoted to Colonel and commander of a special squad”

Prime Minister of Serbia Zoran Djindjic left the building of the government of the Republic about the hour of the day with his friend – the Vice-Chairman of the ruling party Boris Tadic and several bodyguards, after which he headed to his official car Audi-750. At this point, some snipers opened fire on him. Allegedly one of the shooters was in the area of building of Serbian television, that is at quite a distance. Some witnesses claim that shots were also heard from the fence of the office of the army General staff. In the end Djindjic was hit by two rifle bullets 12.7 in the abdomen and back, which in itself indicates the presence of multiple shooters on the opposite directions. Apparently, a shot or a sniper rifle VSK Russian, or Hungarian rifles Gepard Ml, more likely, because these weapons have repeatedly been used for political (or similar political) killings. Djindjic died after an hour in the surgical ward of a Belgrade hospital, without regaining consciousness. The police blocked the city center in the framework of the operation “Whirlwind”, similar to Moscow the plan “Interception”) and almost immediately arrested two people.

The country was left without leadership. Two rounds of presidential elections in Serbia has not determined the country’s leader and the former head of the deceased in a Bose Yugoslavia Vojislav koštunica practically disappeared from the political scene, having, however, to say that he “would like to see at the end of the regime of Djindjic”. His wish came true. The leadership of the ruling coalition made a temporary personnel reshuffling and declared a state of emergency. The part of the police functions were transferred to the army, from which the “speaker” was made by the then chief of General staff Branko Krga is one of the most respected and well-known generals in the country recently waged a bloody war.

Djindjic was known, but not the most popular politician in Serbia. He represented the so-called liberal direction, but then the country did not have such a pronounced Pro-European vector, and this direction as perspective was not considered. However, there exist fairly influential (from a financial point of view) type of functionaries, who made the Pro-European orientation as its main trump card in the game. This is a common phenomenon in Eastern Europe, especially in the post-Soviet countries where political life is directly linked to resource allocation. One of those resources is the immediate infusion of European and American system, including banking.

The victim Prime and was considered one of the engines of the liberal revolution – the first in the history of Europe, received the “color” definition – the so-called bulldozer that toppled the Milosevic regime. He Djindjic came to power by democratic means – through elections. He headed the opposition bloc “Alliance for change”, and immediately after coming to power was secretly transferred Milosevic to the Hague Tribunal, which caused the country’s mass discontent. Moreover, it is believed that the extradition of Milosevic was a personal initiative of Djindjic. The event itself was arranged as a special operation: loyal to Djindjic, the special forces besieged the house of former President in the elite Belgrade Dedinje district, captured the policy and taken to the airport where he was met by British military aircraft. Such “entourage” is in fact not required: Milosevic was not going to defend himself, he was guaranteed safety, including English and American representatives. More recently, these people were with Milosevic at one table and sign the Dayton agreement that ended the war in Bosnia.

Djindjic himself, incidentally, was originally from Bosnia and grew up in Travnik, such items only from Moscow seem insignificant, but the realities of the Balkans are extremely important. The author of these lines spent nearly six months in the vicinity of Travnik, it was a scary place, human life was not worth anything, and Djindjic could have a personal claim against Milosevic as President of Serbia. Thus, to explain the political views Djindjic only one “Pro-European orientation” is wrong in the military situation very much, unfortunately, define the purely personal moments and details of the nature of individual people. Yes, Djindjic was completely Pro-European, Anglo-Saxon politician, he represented a political clan and the public mood is quite certain group of people, but it’s not his only motivation. He was sharply opposed to all that was associated with the Milosevic regime at the moment is rather odious. Serbian society considered the war in Bosnia was lost, and lost as a result of “compromising policy” of the President. The slogan “eBES zemlo, COA Bosne NEMA” in the form of flags and stickers sold at every step. Milosevic was not in this story is extreme, but the irritation of his style of government in that period peaked. Since the victory of the election on Djindjic Vojislav Kostunica was natural, as for Djindjic, with its “European choice” voted the urban population (especially in Belgrade and Novi Sad), while the bulk is crushed by sanctions, the Serbs were just trying to survive and did not participate in the capital’s political games. As a result of this set of circumstances to the government and it’s Pro-European government, supported by the intelligentsia and the media.

The next day, representatives of military authorities officially announced the list of suspects in the murder of Djindjic. It was headed by Colonel Milorad Lukovic (Ulamak) named Legija (Legionnaire) and Colonel Dusan Spasojevic, known as Siptar (Albanian). Both former heads of the interior Ministry special forces of the Serbian “Red berets”, who resigned after the ouster of Milosevic. “Berets” were not involved in the storming of the house of the former President in Dedinje, and therefore the question arose – who were these people, night ozadivka already unguarded residence (according to the order of Djindjic, Milosevic’s home was lifted, state protection). The main argument for the prosecution Lukovic and Spasojevic were the events of a month ago, when the motorcade of the Prime Minister were cut in a huge truck on the highway leading to Belgrade airport Surcin. Then Djindjic was saved by a miracle. The driver of the truck was arrested at the scene. They found a Dejan Milenkovic, known as Bugsy (in the former Yugoslavia and the Caucasus, nicknames, often given in childhood, is replaced in colloquial speech real names – it’s no crime, it’s not gangster slang, just historically speaking), previously served in “berets” and close to Lukovic. His mobile phone had recorded the call, which transmit the exact coordinates of the motion of the Prime Minister’s motorcade. Now these mobile phones have provided the basis for the arrest of Chechen perpetrators of the murder of Nemtsov. This is not original: data from mobile operators is one of the foundations of such investigations.

Lukovic and Spasojevic was part of the leadership of the so-called Zemun clan, one of the biggest criminal gangs in Serbia, numbering 200 fighters. They charged more than 50 murders in Belgrade and other cities of the country, the assassination of a prominent politician Vuk Draskovic described above failed assassination attempt on Djindjic, the murder of the former Chairman of the Presidium of the Union of Serbia Ivan Stambolic, the organization of drug trafficking in Yugoslavia and some other European countries, as well as racketeering. “Semanza” (a suburb of Belgrade) is just one of the criminal gangs that existed then in the country, but perhaps the most influential. Its influence fueled the Bosnian war, which was returning former fighters (often with trucks “trophies”), who did not know in his short life of almost nothing but war, murder and crime. They believed themselves entitled to do what they did, because the state (which is partly represented Djindjic) was not ready to integrate them into normal life. On the contrary, the “European” mode Djindjic was ready to just throw these people to the dump, without providing any alternative. In some other countries (e.g., South Ossetia) that led to the collapse of the elementary notions of good and evil. In the mid 90-ies of the mass rape was almost the norm, and should have been followed by drastic – up to the physical destruction – measures to stop domestic nightmare. This is, unfortunately, a sad reality of many countries and societies emerging from civil war (how it managed to contain in the new Russia – another story).

To promote a case against the “Zemun clan” were after, at first glance, banal fights over the redistribution of property in his native clan of Milosevic town of Pozarevac. Local businessman ljubiša Buha (Plague), previously actively cooperate with the “semanteme”, accused Lukovic and former General of state security, Milorad Bracanovic racketeering and mining of the enterprise Defense road (supposedly in favor of his son Marko Milosevic). This was followed by a series of murders and kidnappings. In particular, was killed by two young guys – brothers Dragan and Zoran Zivkovic, sons of a godfather (for the Serbs it is sometimes more than a brother) of the affected merchant. Their father Ratomir Zivkovic (fiskal) also openly accused of their murders “sementsev”. But the circumstances of these murders was more than strange. Austria was a German arrested with half a kilo of heroin, which showed that bought the drugs in Pozarevac in brothers Zivkovica, who collaborated with semanteme”. And when in Pozarevac was killed by one of the brothers, Dragan, it turned out that the second brother, Zoran, at this time, does not dwell anywhere, but in the capital of Colombia Bogota. When he urgently returned from the cocaine capital in Pozarevac, he was immediately shot from Heckler”. With this pure mafia story and started promotion of the “Zemun clan” and of his connections with the family of former President Milosevic.

It should be noted that Milorad Ulemek changed his name to Lukovic and got the nickname of Lehi after almost ten years served as a mercenary in the French Legion. When he returned to Yugoslavia at the beginning of the Balkan wars, he made a brilliant career, became a Colonel in the interior Ministry and the commander of the special forces “Red berets”. Subsequently declared a war criminal. According to Serbian journalist Jovica of Christinity, “is a phenomenon in which we lived ten years: a former Legionnaire with no education, family and tribe he was promoted to Colonel and commander of the special unit.

But it does not reduce the motives for the murder of Zoran Djindjic only trying to “Zemun clan” to avoid punishment for ordinary criminal offenses. For them there have always been figures of Marko Milosevic and his father, who died in a Dutch prison. In General, almost all high-profile murders and assassinations of those years in Yugoslavia there are people somehow involved in the military intelligence service, subordinate at the time, rade Markovich, who was personally loyal to Milosevic and his wife the World was. After the overthrow of Milosevic, Zoran Djindjic demanded the immediate resignation and arrest of the couple Markovic. However, Vojislav Kostunica, for quite a long time for some strange reason, opposed to this, which allowed the Milosevic clan to clean up the archives, to solve many money issues and, in the end, save in leadership positions in the army loyal generals, including chief of staff Branko Krga.

No matter how criminal or motives of the murder of Djindjic, this event radically altered the political life of Serbia. This effect failed to reach organizers of the murder, and, although it gave rise to an infinite number of versions of why and how it happened. But the “handwriting” of the crime is quite clear. The use of performers “blind”, the manipulation of their political beliefs and ideological attitudes is a common practice, which has long been accustomed all who theoretically could participate in this kind of “productions”. Djindjic’s murder, like the murder of Nemtsov, only confirms this version.
