Pavel Astakhov will leave his post immediately after the holidays, told RBC two sources in the Kremlin. “In the coming days he will retire and not return to previous work”, — said one of interlocutors of the edition.

On the first personnel decision said the journalist Life.ru Anastasia Kashevarova. According to her, the statement Astakhov “at will” was related to issues arising from anti-corruption Department of the Kremlin.

The representative of Ombudsman for children Renat Abdeev called the information rumors. In turn, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov remarked dryly that he had not seen the statements of the Commissioner for resignation.

Earlier, a source close to the Kremlin, told RBC that Astakhov has accumulated a lot of claims. Speech, in particular, failed to communicate with victims in Karelia with children and ambiguous statements about “shrivelled women.” In addition, the petition demanding the resignation of the Commissioner on the website Change.org scored more than 150 thousand signatures.

Recall that the petition was published after Astakhov at a meeting with survivors during a storm in Karelia children asked: “so, how was your swim?”. This question seemed to many insensitive and cynical. He Astakhov has said it will continue its work on the post of Ombudsman, no matter what. In his opinion, online petitions Change.org has a us residence and vote there only Ukrainians and “e-bots”.
