Vice-Admiral of Nosatov appointed acting commander of the Baltic fleet

A senior source in the Russian defense Ministry announced the appointment of Vice Admiral Alexander Nosatova acting commander of the Baltic fleet.

Prior to that, he led the headquarters of the black sea fleet, and then became head of the naval Academy.

We will remind that earlier the Minister of defence Sergei Shoigu has suspended from duty the commander of the Baltic fleet Vice Admiral Viktor Kravchuk and several senior officers.

The reason for this decision were “serious shortcomings in the organization of combat training, daily activities of troops, as well as distortions in the reports of the real state of Affairs”.
