President Vladimir Putin during his speech at the Russian foreign Ministry raised the issue of resuming cooperation with Turkey. In particular, he commented on the apology to the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan over in Syria shot down a Russian bomber su-24.

The Russian President reminded that yesterday he held a telephone conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It was the first conversation between leaders of the two countries after the tragic incident with the death of the Russian pilot Oleg Peshkov. “It is also known that Turkey apologized for the downed Russian bomber,” – said Putin, speaking before ambassadors and permanent representatives of Russia abroad, the Russian foreign Ministry.
The President said that after the apology to Erdogan for the destruction of the Turkish air force bomber Russia intends to restore a working relationship with Turkey. “With this in mind mean in the near future to take steps to restore the bilateral cooperation”, – said the head of state, reports TASS.
Recall that after a telephone conversation with Erdogan, the Russian President instructed the government to study the issue of normalization of relations between Moscow and Ankara. In particular, Putin announced the imminent lifting of restrictions on travel of Russian tourists on resorts of Turkey and the lifting of the ban on Charter flights. In addition, it is planned that Russia will be allowed to import Turkish food products.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting on Thursday stressed that to cancel the previously entered against Ankara’s economic constraints, Moscow will need to gradually so as not to harm domestic producers. The Prime Minister also commented on the resumption of cooperation in the tourism sector. According to him, after the recent terrorist attack at the airport in Istanbul the Turkish authorities must provide additional security guarantees for vacationers from Russia.
