Ella Pamfilova has refused to allow the unregistered “progress Party” before the elections to the state Duma, scheduled for September 18. As reported TASS, at the meeting of the CEC Pamfilova read the response to the appeal of Bulk, in fact, accusing it of double standards.

“One cannot fight violations of law by illegal means, while demanding respect for the law, respect for others, offering to break it, when it comes to your interests,” – said in response.

Pamfilova stressed that the opposition has no right to demand favorable conditions for his party. In her opinion, it will not only make elections more free and competitive, but also cause misunderstanding on the part of all law-abiding citizens of Russia.

The CEC head also said that members of the “Party of progress” have equal voting rights with all citizens of the Russian Federation and may be nominated in single-mandate districts or to participate in elections via kinship, similar in spirit to the party”.

We will remind, on June 17, Navalny published an open letter addressed to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Pamfilova with a request to allow the party to participate in elections to the state Duma. He recalled that the “Party of progress” was denied registration three times already.

“And the party was still registered, but was soon deprived of the right to participate in elections illegal decision of the Ministry of justice with the active support of the CEC, and then completely eliminated. Still the “Party of progress” has the highest level of support among the democratic parties, even to mention it in the official media just banned,” complained the politician.
