Kiev demanded that Europe refused Nord stream-2″

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman suggested the use of gas transportation system for supplies of Russian gas to Europe instead of project Nord stream-2. In his opinion, it is necessary to diversify the supply of natural gas, as the new pipe on the seabed could undermine EU energy independence.

“I think we need to maximally use the opportunities of Ukraine. We offer and insist on this,” said Groysman in an interview to “UKRINFORM”.

Previously “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and urged the EU authorities and the United States to impose sanctions against Russia, banning foreign banks to participate in the project “Northern stream-2”. The new pipeline, said the head of the Ukrainian company Andrey Kobelev, will lead to higher prices and threaten energy security throughout Europe.

Earlier head “Gazprom” Alexey Miller said that in connection with implementation of Nord stream-2″ the company will begin capacity optimization in the Central region, eliminating almost four thousand kilometers of trunk pipelines.

This news caused panic in the “Naftogaz”. Representatives of the Ukrainian company said that the transit of gas through Ukraine will cost several times cheaper, and also attended the spending of “scarce resources Gazprom” in the “economically unjustified projects.
