The state Department has accused Russia of “harassing actions” against diplomats

Us Department of state spokesperson Elizabeth Trudeau said Monday at a briefing in Moscow by the security services and the police increased significantly during the two years of “harassment and surveillance of the diplomatic staff”. She added that the embassies of other countries report the same problems.

Trudeau said that the issue has been raised in meetings between U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. She promised that Washington will continue to raise this issue at the highest level and react appropriately, as the US “takes very seriously the safety and well-being of diplomats and members of their families.”

At the same time she called “preposterous” Russian Declaration of harassing actions against Russian diplomats from the United States.
