Scientists have predicted a “mini ice age”

The gradual decrease in solar activity, observed by astrophysicists today, will lead to what will come the so-called little ice age, i.e. the period of time when you will experience a significant cold snap. It is reported by some mass media with reference to experts-meteorologists.

Previously it was reported that in early June with the Sun for the first time in almost two years gone, all spots one. Experts said that this is a natural process, due to the fact that in the life of the stars entering a new phase of the eleven-year cycle of fluctuations in activity. It was reported that spot in the near future, will still appear in the Sun, however, completely disappear they will be more often and for a longer period until 2019-2020 will be a minimum of solar activity.

It was reported that the periods when the solar activity reaches its minimum, the Earth is much less magnetic storms that provoke deterioration of health of meteosensitive people, and sometimes disruptions of electronics. However, such periods of time and disadvantages: in particular, due to changes in the upper layers of Earth’s atmosphere space debris will begin to rotate closer to the planet, and also will increase the probability of hitting the Earth of radiation from deep space.

Now, some experts, according to the media, declare that the period of declining solar activity will be marked by a noticeable cold. As an example, experts cite a time period from 1645 to 1715 known as the Maunder Minimum”. These years were marked by, on the one hand, long-term reduction in the number of sunspots, and on the other the most cold phase of global cooling of climate in the period from the XIV to the XIX centuries. The researchers assume that in the period from 2020 to 2050, the Earth could once again experience something similar.
