Cellular operators have asked Matviyenko to reject the “anti-terrorist package” of Spring

The “big four” mobile operators in Russia (MTS, “VimpelCom”, “MegaFon”, “T2 mobile operator (Tele2) sent a joint letter to the head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko with a request to reject adopted by the state Duma last week, the law of “anti-terrorism package” Irina Spring. One of the contentious issues, say the operators, is the norm of the law obliging companies to store the content of phone calls and correspondence for up to six months, reports “Interfax”.

The operators said that this will lead to repeated growth rates, degradation of the quality of services, the termination of the development of communication networks on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Operators are asked to create a conciliatory Commission for overcoming of disagreements”.
