Ukraine has denied reports that the purchase of electricity in Russia


The Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik has denied on the page in Facebook reports that Kiev intends to buy electricity from Russia because of lack of own capacity. While the media claimed that Kiev has requested the supply of 600 MW in the mode of technical assistance that would cost a third more expensive than the usual commercial supply.

Nasalik acknowledged that “inherited” complicated”, but people in the energy industry two months working and not “chew snot”. He added that currently, unlike the predictions “all is lost” in Ukraine there is a “plus 2.2 thousand megawatts”, so “annual aid from Russia” the country does not need.
