The ex-Minister of defence of Ukraine: anti-Russian sanctions will be lifted before the end of the year

Such an opinion was stated in conversation with journalists of the TV channel “112 Ukraine”, the former Minister of defence of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko.

“Closer to the end of 2016 the European Union will probably refuse to renew sanctions against Russia… this kind of talk, not officially yet, is already underway. The EU plan to extend restrictive measures for another six months and finish them. One of the reasons for this decision was the fatigue of Europe from the “Ukrainian problem”. The formal reason for the lifting of sanctions may be freezing the conflict in Donbass”, – he said.
