XI Jinping at the meeting with Putin, has opposed unilateral sanctions


Chinese President XI Jinping after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin said that China opposes the use of force and unilateral sanctions without the consent of the party concerned.

China and Russia, as permanent members of the UN security Council and a constructive force for the regional and international security and stability, will be resolutely uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and basic norms of international law, to ensure global strategic balance and stability and to firmly uphold international justice,” the leader of China, adding that the parties stand for a political settlement of interstate disputes.
