The Telegram and founder of “Vkontakte” refused to comply with the requirements of bill Spring


The founder of Telegram messenger and social network “Vkontakte” Pavel Durov said the refusal to comply with the requirement of the patriot act, developed by Chairman of the Duma Committee on security Irina Yarovaya head of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov, the newspaper “Izvestia”.

“Telegram does not give the data or the encryption keys to third parties, including governments. Laws passed in individual countries will not affect that policy,” – said Durov.

The state Duma on 24 June passed a bill that introduces obligation of operators, messengers and social networks to store all the information about the content of the conversations and correspondence of the users.
