The state Department has offered to destroy Syria on the Yugoslav scenario

According to the newspaper The New York Times to eliminate Syria state Department employees want the scenario for the destruction of Yugoslavia.

In particular, the diplomats suggested strikes on positions of the Syrian army “remote weapons”, referring to cruise missiles and aircraft.

The publication reminds that this is what NATO led by the US three months ironed Yugoslav cities, forcing the country’s leadership, de facto, to surrender, what subsequently led to the expulsion of more parts of the Serbian population of Kosovo and the elimination of Yugoslavia as a state.

But reporters also noted that such a scenario is unlikely given the involvement in the conflict of Russia and Iran. As the authors of the article, Moscow and Tehran will make every effort to neutralize possible attacks by the United States.
