A few days later the head of the VOB and several of his associates were deported from the country, and three of the detained were sentenced to prison terms, but Spragin decided almost immediately to return to France to attend the next game of the Russian national team – against Wales. Recall, the Russians lost to the Welsh by a score 0:3, which gave the team the end of the participation in Euro 2016.
