Stoltenberg has accused Russia of violating the agreement with NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told German journalists that Russia does not adhere to the provisions of the Founding act on cooperation and security of 1997. In an interview with German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung he accused Moscow of disrespect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia.

Also, according to Stoltenberg, the document spelled out the restrictions on military presence that Russia exceeds. NATO captures the growing military presence of Russia in the Kaliningrad region, the Crimea, and also in the Baltic, Barents and Black seas.

The Russian side, in turn, constantly stresses that resorts to such measures as a response to the activity of NATO on its borders.
