Donetsk Governor proposed to “liberate” Donbass after 5 years

The head of the Kiev-controlled Donetsk regional military-civil administration Pavlo zhebrivskyi believes that there are two ways by which Ukraine will be able to regain control over the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics. One of them is in the military.

Their proposals to “return” Donbass zhebrivskyi voiced in interview to the edition “New time”. According to him, the first scenario assumes a tightening of sanctions against Russia.

“It is necessary that the international community has realized that this is not the problem of Ukraine, it is a problem all over the world. (…) Therefore, the increase of sanctions against the aggressor and the pressure will lead to the fact, that Putin will be forced to withdraw its troops and leave Ukraine alone,” said Donetsk Governor.

Under the second scenario, Kiev will begin an armed offensive against the breakaway Republic, the pre-strengthening of the Ukrainian army, but not earlier than five years. “The second option is Croatian. Build an army – and in five years to win by military means”, – the politician said, noting that the first scenario would be preferable.

We will remind that earlier zhebrivskyi offered to return control of Kiev “Ukrainian native” land. Among them he named the Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai. In his opinion, in these Russian regions is “Ukrainian identity and mentality”.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko visited the training center of national guard in the Kiev region, where, addressing the soldiers, said they must undergo a “break in the battle” at the forefront in the Donbass, and learn not to bow to bullets.”
