Austrian foreign Ministry called on the EU to remove sanctions


The Minister for foreign Affairs of Austria Sebastian Kurz urged the EU to gradually lift sanctions against Russia.

Recall that the validity of anti-Russian economic sanctions of the EU expires on 31 July this year.

“I believe that we should gradually come to such a model, in which in exchange for every step of implementation of the Minsk Protocol will be removed restrictive measures against Russia,” — reports Reuters words of Kurtz. He expressed the hope that this plan will be agreed in the medium term, adding that Moscow must also meet the Brussels.

Among the political representatives of the European Union already ongoing debate about what anti-Russian restrictions is the wrong path, said Austrian foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the head of the Russian presidential administration Sergei Ivanov hoped that the anti-Russian sanctions will not be canceled in the near future: thanks to them the country is developing a number of industries, including agriculture and chemical production.
