The speaker called for a freeze of budget expenditures


The Minister of economic development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev proposed to reduce the non-oil budget deficit is to freeze nominal budget expenditures at the level of 16 trillion rubles, writes “the Newspaper.<url>.

“This means that we will reduce the real cost of inflation”, – he said. Thus, according to the speaker, there will be a reduction of about 5%, which aims to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

While the speaker recognizes that such a measure would reduce real incomes because of inflation, but considers it socio-politically feasible.
